PITTSBURGH, PA – A new 580-space garage should make it considerably easier to find a place to park Downtown. And during the holiday season, you won’t always have to pay to park there.
The garage at 350 Oliver, the mixed-use development rising on the site of the former Saks Fifth Avenue department store, has opened. Parking will be free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends through Dec. 24.
The garage is the first portion of 350 Oliver, being jointly developed by Millcraft Industries and McKnight Realty Partners, to open. A retail component will be completed next year. It will include Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse, which is expected to open by spring.
Construction is slated to begin in 2018 on the project’s residential component – Lumiere, a 10-story, 86-unit condominium to be built on top of the garage. The condos will have from one to three bedrooms and start at about $225,000.
